A small crowd gathered at the Episcopal churches of Christ the King and Jesus of Nazaret. They honor the victims of Hurricane Maria that made landfall there 5 years ago. They expanded that ceremony as well to include the victims of Hurricane Fiona. Local Puertoricans say they’re glad they’re here so that way they can help their families back on the island. “If we have been in Puerto Rico at the same time, we would have been in the same position so we would have not been able to assist them in any way.” That church is now collecting money and flashlights to sent to Puerto Rico while the power is still out.
