La comunidad puertorriqueña en Orlando está jugando un papel muy importante. Una de las personas clave en este esfuerzo es el Padre José Rodríguez, quien es puertorriqueño y junto a estos voluntarios se enviaron ayuda luego del Huracán María a Puerto Rico.

“Nuestra labor primaria es alimentos. Es una necesidad común. Pan en la mesa. Estan los damnificados se ven que han perdido casa, pero no se ven los damnificados que han perdido trabajo. La necesidad es comida para cada familia.”

Voluntarios que contribuyen en la división de compra para familias afectadas en la Iglesia Episcopal Cristo el Rey y Jesús de Nazaret, en Orlando. La iglesia prepara comida para entregar a toda la comunidad una vez al mes.

It continues; Aid for the Victims of Hurricane Ian is coming in the state of Florida.

The Puerto Rican community in Orlando is playing a very important role. One of the key people in this effort is Father José Rodríguez, who is Puerto Rican and together with these volunteers help was sent to Puerto Rico after Hurricane María.

“Our primary job is food. It is a common need. Bread on the table. The victims see that they have lost their homes, but they do not see the victims who have lost their jobs. The need is food for every family.”

Volunteers who contribute to the purchase division for affected families in the Cristo el Rey y Jesús de Nazaret Episcopal Church, in Orlando. The church prepares food to deliver to the entire community once a month.
